New Bike: Antidote Lifeline Downhill Bike

Antidote now starts to begin the journey by releasing new downhill machine; and this Poland manufacture is really concern to build a good product and they now have a new downhill machine, the Antidote Lifeline DH Bikes. They are using uncommon material for their frame - a combination between carbon and a material called vectran. With this combination, Antidote is success to build a 205 mm travel downhill bike.

The Lifeline DH also using titanium pivot hardware and anodized aluminum suspension links - the links will available in multiple colors. The Lifeline DH also adopt the independent suspension system that developed by Antidote and this suspension system is unique enough to see. The frame only of the Lifeline will be available at price 2,999 Euro without shock, but if the fans will going out with the shock the price will need more 400 Euro. The shock option is available for DVO or BOS.

One interesting, the vectran used in this frame. Will this material become massive and common material that be used by another brands? What is vectran? Vectran, or vectran fiber which is known before as the material for the tires, is known due to its stability at high temperatures, high strength, and good at chemical stability. Vectran often be combined with another material such as polyster and polyurethane. Vectran also have high resistance with ultraviolet radiation so it often used in outdoor activity, and stronger than Kevlar. But it must be noticed also that vectran will tends to get fractures when get high stress.

But this maybe an innovation from Antidote to use uncommon material for their bike; besides that they also develop their own suspension system for the Lifeline DH, with the FDS Suspension System. New Product: DVO Emerald Inverted Downhill Fork

Though DVO is not the first that use the inverted technology for the fork in mountain biking sport scene, but they develop the inverted fork in their downhill fork, the DVO Emerald. It seems that DVO wants to come on into the stiff competition between the fork product, as people know that the competition of the fork is about two big brands. And one of their efforts to make their difference is how they built different appearance by their green color as their identity.

DVO comes with the inverted downhill fork by improve their current downhill fork, the DVO Emerald, which will be available in two wheels size, the classic 26 inch and 27.5 inch wheels. It comes also with carbon arch, and overall weight of the Inverted Emerald including the carbon arch is 3490 gr, and will be priced at $2,239 for their 26 inch and both will come in classic DVO green color and black version.

The DVO Emerald Downhill inverted version has twin tube which means that this fork has second port tube to make the fork travel up and down. They also build the technology OTT (Off The Top), the same technology that they use in another fork, the DVO Diamond. The Inverted Emerald version offers the 20mm thru-axle, and though the inverted technology is not really new technology but is this technology can change the current trend of fork?

New Bike: Intense 951 EVO 2015 with DVO Suspension

Intense makes their DH bike, the Intense 951 EVO 2015 more shining with the suspension kit from DVO, the DVO Emerald on front suspension and DVO Jade for the rear shock. The bike becomes more "greeny" with the parts from Spank limited edition goods.

There are no much information about the Intense 951 EVO 2015 - DVO Build, but at least the bike has been got the people's attention and that's good. With the proper combination of color, this bike will get many attention wherever this bike are.

Rocky Mountain New Downhill Bike???

Another mysterious new bike caught by the camera on Cranxwork and it seems to be Rocky Mountain because there's a news about this bike to be used as the substitution of the Rocky Mountain Flatline. Using 4 bar suspension design with Horst link, this bike has also the 27.5 inch wheels and equipped with DVO Emerald fork.

New Fork: DVO Diamond Prototype 27.5 and 29 with Off The Top Technology

Come to the high-end fork on the precious scene, DVO Fork becomes the good fork the competitors of the current fork and to make it bold, DVO releases the new fork with the name DVO Diamond on the prototype form. With the single fork design, this fork will be used on the enduro/all-mountain scene and appear on the Eurobike with Cedric Garcia.

This fork will be available on two version 27.5 inch and 29 inch - seems DVO will ignore the classic 26 inch, so let's forget it. The DVO Diamond will also be adjustable with the main 160mm, and it can be adjusted through the internal spacers to the 150 mm and 140 mm.
