New Bike: Giant Releases New Trance 2017

Giant Trance has been one of the most popular trail bike of the company, and always get update almost each year. Last year, the Trance also includes in the line up (Read: New Bike - Giant 2016 Line Up). And for the next year, there will be new Trance, with some upgrades of course. Giant chooses the Eurobike Media Days in Kirchberg to introduce their newest trail weapon.

As stated above that there will be six models (yes, six models!) for the fans. Two carbon and alloy for the rest. The highest spec is the Advanced, finished with combination black and blue, pretty similar with last year's Reign. While the Advanced version of last year Trance has more colors, black, orange, and blue.

But, along with the Trance 2017, Giant also introduces the 2017 Anthem and their flagship hardtail the XTC. All those also get few upgrades, and the XTC will get the plus tire. Their women specific Liv, also there for the fans. (pic: pinkbike.com)

Interbike 2015: New Liv Bikes

Eurobike 2015 just ended but the tons of new bike will be come again on another event, Interbike 2015. For the first article about Interbike 2015 event, let's start this with women edition's bike, where there are some new bikes from Liv. Liv Bikes is a brand that specially made the bikes for women, so if you are women who want to get out with full of sweat, ground, mud, or something, these bikes are made for you. For Interbike 2015 event, Liv Bikes brings several new bikes. 

On the Eurobike 2015 event, Liv Bikes adopts the Maestro Suspension System from Giant, and some parts also be brought from Giant. The new bikes are Liv Intrigue SX, Intrigue 1, and the Liv Lust 1. The Intrigue SX is the bike with highest spec and comes with Rockshox Pike and comes with slacker head angle. The Liv Intrigue SX is now higher with plus 20mm travel. Full specs of the new Liv Intrigue SX will be equipped with Rockshox both rear and front, with Monarch Debonair and Pike. Full SRAM X1 groupset, and Giant AM wheelset with Schwalbe Hans Dampf and Rock Razor, both 2.35. The Liv Intrigue SX will be priced about $4475USD.

The second bike is Liv Intrigue 1, which comes with lower spec than the Intrigue SX. Fox suspension installed on both and rear, with Fox Float Performance DPS rear shock and Fox 34 Float fork 140 mm of travel. Combination of Shimano Deore and SLX is installed on Intrigue 1. Another parts are stocked by Giant. The Liv Intrigue 1 model will be priced at $3200USD.

The last from Liv, the Lust 1 is claimed to be the most affordable model from the Lust series. The Lust 1 is built from Giant Carbon Composite on the front triangle and aluminum ALUXX SL on rear triangle, which makes this bike is more affordable. The Lust 1 is using most parts from SRAM; Rockshox both rear and front, Monarch R and SID 120 mm travel, and SRAM GX drivetrain and Guide R brakes, and also completed by Giant AM wheelset. The Liv Lust 1 will be priced at $3900USD.

The big brand on mountain bike industry, Giant has already announced their 2016 line up, with some improvements on their most popular bikes; the Giant Trance, Giant Glory, Giant Reign, Giant Anthem and the hardtail Giant XTC. Still adopting the 27.5 since they announce will use this size several time ago, those bikes become more popular in mountain biker around the world. The Reign also available in several version with the price range started from $3799 to $7999. Full line up of Giant Reign 2016 is Giant Reign Advanced 0 27.5, Giant Reign 1 27.5, Giant Reign 1 27.5, and Giant Reign 2 27.5.

GIANT GLORY

The hardcore downhill bike from Giant, the Glory now is becoming so this machine turns into real monster. Available in four models, the Giant Glory 2016 version will be priced started from $3499 to $7999. The carbon version of the new Glory will be lighter about 200 gr, which is significant save weight for the bike. 

GIANT ANTHEM

The popular Giant bike for 2016, the Anthem which is coming in various models, spread from the cheapest at $2999 to the most expensive Giant Anthem Advanced $9299. The most expensive model comes with Rockshox RS1 and another high end parts. Giant also releases the Anthem 29er version, the newest Giant Anthem X Advanced at $5299.

GIANT XTC

The most popular hardtail from Giant, the XTC also available in the 2016 line up. The XTC series will come in various price start from $3199 to $8699 for the XTC Advanced SL model. New Bike: Giant Releases Double Machine for 2015 - Glory 27.5 and Reign 27.5g

Giant previously said "goodbye 26 wheels" on early 2014, and to prove this, Giant releases double machine for the 2015 and all of them are 27.5 inch wheels, and those machines are Giant Glory DH and Giant Reign. With these bikes, Giant will continue the generation of the 27.5 inch wheels for their most popular machines on market.

Giant Glory DH 2015 27.5

Giant said that this monster is designed for the speed and helps the rider to be faster on track and this can be seen on the frame design and another improvement in any parts. Still using the maestro suspension system, this frame is ALUXX SL frame and have 203 mm travel of fork.

High end specs also install on this newest Giant Glory DH 27.5, and of course because this actually a bike with world cup standard.

Giant Reign 2015 27.5

One of the most popular bike on enduro - all mountain scene, Giant also rebuild the Reign into 27.5 inch wheels. This is a 160 mm travel fork, and Giant Reign 2015 27.5 will come to the public with options aluminum and carbon frame choice. On World Enduro 2014, the prototype of Giant Reign appears on the Giant Factory Off-Road Team.

Giant Reign 2015 27.5 will come in four different various type, and the highest bike will be priced on $8250 and the lowest version of Giant Reign 2015 27.5 will be at $3400.
