Kona will produce three new bikes for the 2015, the Process 167, Process 134 SE, and new downhill bike the Precept 200. For this 2015 edition, Kona Precept 200 is brand new bike from the Canadian brand, and this is just a step closer to their famous downhill bike, Kona Operator. The Process 167 and Precept 200 will use classic wheel size 26 inch, and Process 134 SE will use 27.5 inch wheels.
Kona Process 167
This bike is the longer version of the Process 167 DL, and the new Kona Process 2015 will have up to 167 mm travel. Rockshox will support the suspension department with Rockshox Vivid Air RC2 and Rockshox Lyrik DH Fork 170 mm travel. Some of you maybe have question why the new Process 167 runs with 26 inch after this bike is using 650b or 27.5 inch previously.
About this issue, Kona says, “To fit 27.5-inch wheels in this frame we would have had to lengthen the chainstay, raised the bottom bracket, or reduced the travel.
Kona Process 134 SE
Kona Process 134 SE is the small size of the Process 167, because this bike is available on XS size, and different with Process 167, the Process 134 SE is using 27.5 inch wheels. The reason for build smaller version is to facilitate the shorter riders and women. Rockshox will support the suspension department with Revelation RL Solo Air and Rockshox Monarch.
Kona Precept 200
This bike regards as the brand new from Kona on downhill scene, with just a step closer to their popular DH bike, the Operator. The Precept 200 will run on classic wheels size, 26 inch and have 200 mm fork travel which is using Rockshox Domain 200 triple clamp.
