This suspension even has been applied in the downhill bike from Specialized, the Demo. Ohlins claims that this suspension will be used to challenge the Cane Creek DBAir as the uphill rear suspension. As information, Ohlins is a company which produce suspension for Motocross, and this company is started from Sweden. This company gains big popularity after reach the best in Motocross World Championship; and they starts to produce forks and shocks to celebrate its 200th world title in 2007.
As the partnership product, this suspension is claimed by Specialized as the best suspension for mountain bike. Is that so? Let's see what inside. This is a twin tube suspension design which can be set in three ways; high speed compression adjustment, low speed compression adjustment, and low speed rebound adjustment. This suspension uses nitrogen for the bladder system and whole weight of this suspension is about 460 gr without spring and 550-600 gr with spring. This shock will be fit with Specialized Demo 8 2012 edition and newer, and also the Specialized Enduro EVO 2013 edition and newer.
