Ride Test Marin XM8

Are you interesting with Marin XM8 but you still wonder about the capability of this bike? Ok then, this bike is started from an area named Marin County, California. On the progress, this manufacturer has been produced great bikes for years, and this is on of them when this bike is the turn to be tested. Actually the Marin XM8 is a cross country or trail bike, but it seems to be better to find what are inside of this bike. Shimano XT is the drivetrain used in this bike, with the Fox for the front and rear suspension; the popular components are in this bike. The 26" inch wheels, quad link suspension technology, 140mm rear suspension travel, and available in five sizes, XS, S, M, L, and XL.
The ride test of Marin XM8 is started from the basic ability, the handling and climbing, because this is regarded as the cross country bike, so the climbing ability should be tested. The use of Fox for the front suspension is very helpful, because it has used the CTD technology, which gives the light pedaling so it can save more energy. Even in the track with full of roots and rocks, the technology is very helpful to pass the tracks.
On the descending this bike also provides the comfortable in riding, with the head tube falls in the number 67.5 degree for the trail bike, and that angle is unusual for cross country bike. But this bike has little problematic in the high speed in the track full of roots and rocks. But the parts of this bike is good in performance, like the Formula R1 brakes, which is quick and easy to use, but this brake is weak when it getting wet. The use of Maxxis Ardent also good when the track is dry; when the track is wet, this tire will lost its ability and even easy to slip, similar with its brother the Crossmark.
